Donate to the CWO

The Legal Stuff

Before you can donate to a political party or affiliation, you must read and understand the following.

The rules about declaring donations are set down in the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. Please refer to the https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/ for more information.

• The CWO is legally a non-party campaigner (see: Transparency of Lobbying, Non-Party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Act 2014)
• We won’t accept donations from charities (although the CWO is not a political party, we want to avoid any possible conflict over our affiliation to the Conservative Party)
• You must be a UK resident or a company registered in the United Kingdom
• You must be on the electoral register in the UK excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man in order to make a donation of more than £500
• If you donate more than £7,500 to the CWO, we are obliged under the Act to report such a donation to the Electoral Commission, who will publish the fact that you have made a donation over £7,500

Corporate Sponsorship

If your company would be interested in corporate sponsorship of the website, a conference or other activity, an opportunity exists for banner advertising or individual advertisements on the website as well as advertisements in any brochures which relate to a particular event. Please get in touch.
